Saudi Arabia CV Format Template
نموذج صيغة السيرة الذاتية في السعودية
Most Saudi private-sector employers screen CVs through an ATS before a recruiter reads them. The format that works best is simple: one column, standard section headings, reverse-chronological experience, and no tables, text boxes, or graphics that break parsing.
Who this template is for
Anyone applying to private-sector or semi-government roles in Saudi Arabia who wants a safe, recruiter-friendly structure.
How to fill in each section
Header
Full name, target job title, city, phone with +966 code, email, and LinkedIn. Expats can add nationality and Iqama/visa status on the same line.
Professional Summary
2 to 4 sentences naming your role, years of experience, sector, and the one or two strengths most relevant to the job you are applying for.
Work Experience
Most recent role first. Use Job Title | Company | City | MM/YYYY dates on one line, then 3 to 5 bullets with measurable results (SAR values, percentages, team sizes).
Education
Degree, institution, city, and graduation year. Add GPA only if it is strong and you have under 3 years of experience.
Skills
Copy exact wording from the job description where it truthfully applies. ATS matching is literal, so "SAP FI" and "SAP Finance" may not be treated the same.
Certifications
List local licenses and registrations (SCE, SOCPA, SCFHS) here with the issuing body. Remove the section if you have none.
Saudi-specific tips
- Two pages is the practical maximum for most roles. One page is fine under 5 years of experience.
- A photo is common on Gulf CVs but not required. If you add one, keep it outside the main text flow so ATS parsing is not affected.
- Use Gregorian dates in MM/YYYY format. They parse cleanly and match most job portals.
- Submit PDF unless the job posting asks for Word. Keep a .docx version for portals that request editable files.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Two-column designs from Canva-style templates that ATS reads in the wrong order
- Putting contact details in the document header or footer, which some parsers ignore
- Listing duties instead of results in the experience section
- Including date of birth, marital status, or passport number when the job does not ask for them
